A Level trip to Boscastle
On Tuesday 4th October, Year 13 A’ Level History students travelled to Boscastle to
experience the Museum of Witchcraft and Magic. They were extremely lucky to also be invited to access the Rare Documents Archive and Library.
They were given a guided tour of the Museum and its many interesting and original exhibits and experienced a fantastic talk given by Julia, one of the managers of the MWM. The students were able to see many of the areas which they have studied in lessons first hand, which has given them a unique insight in to many aspects of witchcraft and how witches have been viewed and persecuted through time. They also had the privilege of being invited in to the MWM’s extensive witchcraft library where they were able to access many of the rare 16th and 17th century books concerning witches, and to the Archive where many artefacts from aspects of witchcraft from around the world are kept.
The students had an amazing experience, one which they will remember for a long time!
