Academic Review Day March 23rd and 24th

Academic Review Day March 23rd and 24th

Staff at the college are looking forward to meet all parents of students in year 7 to year 10 and a selection of year 11 parents on Academic Review Day next week. Monday evening from 3.30pm and Tuesday from 8.30am.

Parents and students will be invited to collect a range of documents from the Library on their arrivals ten minutes before appointment:

  1. The latest reports for their child showing all progress made towards targets and current attendance
  2. A parental survey to be handed in to reception either on the day or via the student the next day at reception
  3. A cyber statement to be signed and handed in to tutor or reception
  4. A letter about our new uniform for academic year 2015-2016

Can we take this opportunity to thank the parents and carers for all of their support with ensuring that all students arrive ready to learn with the correct uniform. Can we draw the attention to this part of our current uniform policy relating to skirts:

Skirts: Black “classic” style skirt that is either straight or pleated. Skirts should not be tight, have a slit or made of stretch fabric. The hem of the skirt should be no more than 5cm above the knee.

Could we ask you to show us your support again and rectify any skirts which have been worn recently and not in line with our policy so that all skirts worn after the Easter break are in line with our policy at the College please.

We will adopt the supportive approach on lead up to Easter break and speak to students whose uniform we have concerns about and we will start putting sanctions in place if needed after the Easter Holidays.

Thank you very much in advance for your continued support. The tight trousers and leggings are nearly a thing of the past thanks to your commitment to the College.

We look forward to seeing you all next week on ARD.

Yours sincerely,

Miss Blandin and Staff at the College
