County Lines

County Lines

As part of our ongoing determination to safeguard all students, last week all of Year 9 – 13 watched a powerful and thought provoking performance by Alter Ego Creative Solutions about County Lines. The performance  was exceptionally well received by staff and students and was focused on helping young people recognise the signs of criminal exploitation, often known as County Lines. Students learned that often the most vulnerable people are those who think they are the least vulnerable. Students heard the story of two teenagers who found themselves caught up in the world of criminal and sexual exploitation and found it very hard to see a way out. The performances were backed up afterwards with support from our local YZUP the Young Addaction service and subsequent  PHSE lessons will also follow up on the messages from the performance. If anyone thinks they are in need of support or would like some advice, please contact Becky Lear at TCC.
