Health and Wellbeing Fair

Health and Wellbeing Fair

Students in Years 7-13 all had an opportunity to visit our Health and Wellbeing Fair that took place in the College last week. Approximately twenty outside agencies were represented from across the area. Students got to circulate the stalls chatting with a range of professionals, including educational psychologists and youth workers, about their how health and wellbeing issues impact their lives. It was brilliant to  see We-Do-Football, Plymouth Raiders and Cappola Performing Arts School encouraging the students to actively  learn how they can raise their fitness and energy levels. The Sugar Smart Team also arrived with lots of food for thought to go alongside the free fresh fruit and water provided by our College fresh produce supplier. It was also fantastic to see our local RBL and Blood Bike team chatting to the students about their role within the community.  All of the students were well behaved, with a special mention to our School Council and TCC PRIDE group who helped run stalls all afternoon.

Next year we want to extend the time of the event even further to allow more parents and primary students to get involved. If you are interested in joining us for next year’s Health and Wellbeing Fair please contact Ms Childs childs.j@torpoint.cornwall.sch.uk
