TCC will be holding two mufti days in the coming weeks.
Friday 11th November will be a ‘wear red’ mufti for Remembrance Day. Students who wear mufti are asked to donate 50p so that we can raise funds for The Royal British Legion. TCC is an associate member of this charity and poppies are now available to buy in reception or in tutor groups on 11th November. Students are encouraged to wear red and to wear their poppy with pride to remember servicemen and women killed in all conflicts since 1914. There will be a bell sounded in College at 11am to signal the traditional 2 minutes silence – an act of respect to mark the ending of WW1.
Friday 18th November is Children in Need. Students are asked to donate 50p for this worthy cause in return for being allowed to wear appropriate fancy dress. We ask that no clown or Halloween masks are worn or brought to College and that all costumes are appropriate for the school environment and not in any way offensive or revealing. It is unusual to hold two non uniform days so closely together but our students are mature enough to understand the reasons for doing so and raising much needed funds for these charities.
There will also be a Christmas Jumper Day on December 16th when students can wear their festive knits for a £1 donation to Save The Children.
We appreciate your support with our fundraising efforts.
