National Collaborative Art and Science Competition

National Collaborative Art and Science Competition

During the Summer Term some of the then Year 7/8 Art and Science groups worked together to create some work which was for submission into a National Collaborative Art and Science Competition – the Nancy Rothwell Awards – run by the Royal Biological Society and the Royal Veterinary College.

The two Departments worked jointly to encourage students to design botanical/anatomical drawings which were accurately drawn but also accurately annotated.

The standard of work was amazing and judging it was a real challenge! Because of the amazing quality of work that was submitted we felt it really important that the best work was recognised by us at TCC! We also felt that the artists should be rewarded for their efforts!

The following students have won prizes and were presented with a certificate and a prize by the Headteacher, Dr Plumb.

Certificate of Excellence and a £5 Amazon voucher; Sky Elliott, Paige Whittaker, Mia Willcock, Katie Chambers, Ellie Fraser, Bronnen Shaw-Bishop.

Certificate of Achievement and some stationery; Lexi Tatham, Katie Curry, Josh Babb, Amelia Wotton.
