Year 12 BTEC National Sport students have completed a Squash block at the Life Centre this term for the Practical Individual unit of their course. They are also currently completing their own 6 week sport specific training programmes which include developing power for rugby, developing muscular endurance and core strength for netball and developing flexibility for cheerleading. They are training hard using circuit training, interval training, HIIT and boot camp to achieve their aims. They will then undertake a fitness re-assessment to establish how successful their training programmes were and they will evaluate how their bodies have physiologically adapted.
