Royal Marines and Zumba

Royal Marines and Zumba

The Royal Marines visited TCC and worked with a group of year 11 boys and year 11 girls on October 8th. The students received an in depth talk from the Marines about their history and roles, students found out how to apply, about the training involved and the career prospects offered and what it is like to be a Royal Marine. Students then took part in physical challenges with the Royal Marines. These challenges involved team work and determination and both year 11 groups rose to the occasion, especially the girls group who stayed out in the rain to complete the rope stretcher task. Well done Year 11s!

Selected year 8,  9 and 11 students also took part in some Zumba sessions with Zumba Instructor, Susie Mackenzie. These activities offered a fun way for students to engage in a new activity and promoted their physical and mental wellbeing. One year boy commented that it is much harder than it looks! Well-done to all students who took part.
