TCC Careers Exhibition 2018

TCC Careers Exhibition 2018

Many thanks to all the employers and organisations that supported the College’s Careers Exhibition on 28th March. There were a huge variety of different stands including big employers such as Sainsbury’s, NHS and CITB, information about the Services including the RAF, Royal Navy and the Royal Marines Band, apprenticeship providers such as GHQ training, Accacia Training and the Skills Group, stands featuring new tech such as a 3D printer, 3D Kernow Printing and coding with Cornwall Software, university stands from the University of Exeter and University of Plymouth, the National Citizen Service – who gave out many free goodies to students and following the assembly that took place earlier this year and talked about the NCS scheme that Year 11 students can participate in after their exams, Volunteer Cornwall,  ‘Moor than meets the eye’ – a stand all about Archaeology by Emma Stockley, Mashfords Boat Building yard and UK Docks Marine Services.

We were delighted to welcome back  former students, Laura Lofting, a solicitor at Gill Akaster in Plymouth and James Franklin representing BT. Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service also attended along with the star attraction, the fire engine! A huge thank you also goes out to all the students who made the event so worthwhile by asking interesting questions and having conversations about all the different career opportunities available.

If you would like to support our Careers Exhibition next year, please contact Mrs Davina Bray via the College’s main reception.
