TCC Prom

Year 11 students at Torpoint Community College have recently attended their leaver’s prom which was once again held at the College.

This year the Sixth Form Common Room was transformed into a sophisticated area, with a purple theme, to compliment a marquee attached to the outside area which was adorned with purple bunting and balloons. The students enjoyed a soft drink cocktail bar, sweetie table, dress up photo booth, band and disco as well as professional photography by Rob Frost.

Many prizes were awarded throughout the evening: Prom King was awarded to Matt Prince and Prom Queen was Anna Dearden; best transport to Amie Raw and Owen McCallum; cutest prom couple went to Alistair Francis and Lucy Haggerty; best dressed male Fred Tucker and best dressed female Erin McCreadie; Disco Dude was Joe Smith; and finally Disco Diva was Alice Varley.

Prom organisers Jenni Howard and Julie Haggerty said that they couldn’t have done it without the help and support of the dedicated team of staff at the college and many local businesses. The college would like to say a special thanks to Balloon Express of Ivybridge, Rob Frost photography of Liskeard and Hine Marquees Ltd of Saltash.
