TCC STUDENTS EXCEL AT BRONZE DofE AWARD!

Torpoint Community College and the local community proudly celebrated the success of 16 students who have worked extremely hard to achieve their Bronze Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.  The National Trust and Sir Richard Carew Pole kindly allowed the use of Antony House for the presentations and the Mayor of Torpoint, and Commander Jo Adey from HMS RALEIGH, collaborated in jointly presenting the certificates to the successful students.

Proud parents were in attendance, together with members of the local community, including the Torpoint & Rame Lions, who very kindly assisted with funding the expedition this year.

The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Manager, Mrs Lynn Trotter, said that the staff and students at the College, and the local community, are all very proud of these young people in what they have achieved and I know they are now all keen to sign up for the Gold Award – onwards and upwards!!
