Ten Tors Training – 24th & 25th March

Ten Tors Training – 24th & 25th March

There were a few sore shoulders and feet after the first two day expedition by students over the weekend.  On both days the teams set off from the Y-Junction near Okehampton army camp in thick mist; however, this cleared on Sunday and everyone enjoyed hours of warm sunshine.  There were still some snow drifts around from the previous week and adults took the opportunity to entertain the walkers with Easter snow bunnies.

Apart from a few errors, all those that started on Saturday finished on Sunday near the Warren House Inn.  A massive well done to all the students; a great achievement.  A big thank you also needs to go to all the adult volunteers who were out there supporting them this weekend.

The next walk is the mock weekend – 27th to 29th April.  The meeting and route planning on Wednesday 25th April will now be at 3.30pm, location to be confirmed.

Please could students return all of the team equipment, as soon as possible, so it can be checked and sorted ready for the mock. Thank you.
