The Cube Theatre visits TCC

The Cube Theatre (a theatre group based at Truro school who make theatre with and for young people)visited the College on Monday 22nd Sep, and worked with 30 of our gifted and talented performing arts students in year 9 and 10. The company comprised of four practitioners, all of whom took a workshop for the day to produce music, performance and physical theatre using Wilfred Owens poems as a stimulus. The groups produced a large variety of work, and surprised all the practitioners by their excellent ability and focus at all times. The work the students have produced will be shown in Truro Cathedral over half term in a simulated troops tent from WW1.

Martine Holmes, Drama faculty lead, said,’ This has been a fantastic project for our students to be part of, using English, History and Theatre to create an exciting piece of multimedia work, that will be shown to the public – pop along to see it if you can! A huge thanks to Miss Emma Luing for organising this amazing opportunity for our students.’
