Torpettes perform in London!!!

The Torpettes have made their mark in the big city, by presenting a stunning performance at ‘The Actors Church’ in Covent Garden, London. The girls travelled up on Monday 06th July, explored the sights of London and then were treated to watching the spectacular musical ‘Wicked’, in London’s West End. Following this, the girls stayed overnight and then made their way to Covent Garden the next morning. Here they rehearsed a programme with the guidance of a musical director from the Lion King in the West End, who gave the girls some valuable performance feedback. The Torpettes then performed a 30 minute set, to an enchanted audience; there was simply not a dry eye in the house by the end, and the feedback was amazing! The tour operators described the girls as ‘truly remarkable’ and the musical director said their sound was stunning, and they were a highly professional outfit. A brilliant and rewarding time was had by all and the girls were exceptionally well behaved, presenting themselves professionally and respectfully to others at all times -they were an absolute credit to the school. The trip would not of been possible without the support of the lovely Miss Barker and Miss Holmes, who assisted the girls throughout.
