Year 13 BTEC National in Sport

The Year 13 BTEC National Sport students have recently completed their course. They were assessed for the Instructing Physical Activity unit and decided to focus on “Instructing in the Outdoors” at Whitsand bay. They invited our committed Year 10 Sport students, who have given up their own time to train and compete very successfully for College teams this year. They were given the opportunity to take part in Yoga with Freya Morgan, HIIT with Rachel Selby and Cerys Goodman, Volleyball with Ed Ogilvie and Callum Short and Handball with Jack Nicholls. The sessions were entirely planned, risk assessed and led independently. The day was very successful with confidently led sessions and the Year 10 Sport students had a fun but tiring day. The Year 13 Sports students are now moving on to exciting opportunities including Sport and Exercise Science, Psychology, Sports Therapy and Events Management degrees as well as the navy and apprenticeships in Fitness Instruction and Personal training. We wish them all the best.
